Hi 👋 I recently acquired the brand new Sony 300mm f2.8 GMaster. 300mm really comes hand for my kind of wildlife. I used to work with a 70-200 f2.8. And the weight is just amazing 1.475kg🔥🔥🔥

Insane. Amazing. Beautiful. But seriously, when you’re outside of camp, what’s keeping you safe? You’re so close.
theres a few reasons for that 1. Coastal Brown Bears in Katmai are completely different than inland grizzlies. They have an abundant food source and these bears have aslo been accustomed to seeing people year in and year out. The bears are more worried about other bears. 2. That's why you go with a professional bear guide, they have years of experience with the same bears, know their patterns and limits. We all know it's wildlife and anything can happen. But It's less risky than driving to work and skydiving and what not.

Great review 🙂 Would you choose the 100-500 F7.1 Canon lens to use with the R7 over the 200-800 F7.1 for capturing birds in flight?
For birds, I’d definitely say the 200-800! I believe it focuses way better on smaller animals than the 100-500
@KrisLuckPhoto Thanks very much for that information Kris 🙂 I have heard that the 200-800 lens struggles to autofocus with the R7 and I would be concerned about its low light performance in UK and Irish weather conditions especially in winter so I was going to buy the 100-500 F7.1 lens instead.
Ok, sold. Getting the remote controller. I also feel very limited with the motion one that is included.
Steep learning curve to learn manual, but totally worth it!

They are fairly similar in terms of stabilization but gyroflow also dewarps the horizon so it looks a little more professional in my opinion
My 100-400 II has a black lens hood...not weird to me at all.

I have been lucky to have had Canon, Nikon and Sony mirrorless systems - and I've gone back to Canon - it just resonates most overall for me. I get more shots I like with the R5, that simple.

Excellent explanation of the Avata 2 camera settings. Thank you. Using a similar setting with you @ 4K/60, UW, Rocksteady, 16:9 and D-LogM, it does not record at H.265, but only at H.264, which is a slower rendering. Do you know how to set it for H.265, I cannot find the setting??? I'm subbing. Greetings from Montreal, Canada.
